Adjust quality, background for transparent areas and inspect the result preview.

    3. Convert and download

Save your JPG results individually or download the converted images together as a ZIP.

    What is AVIF?

AVIF is a newer image format with very small files. More and more websites use it, so images you save from the web may be AVIF. Many apps, editors and upload forms still cannot open it.

Converting to JPG gives you a file that opens almost anywhere. Transparent areas, if any, get the background colour you choose.

    Browser support

The tool uses your browser's own AVIF decoder, available in current Chrome, Edge, Firefox and Safari 16.4 or newer. If your browser is older, you will see a clear message. Nothing is uploaded at any point.

    Questions

    Are my files uploaded?

No. The tool runs inside your browser, so your images are opened and processed on your own device. They are never sent to us or to anyone else.

Why can't I open AVIF files?

AVIF is new, and many programs do not support it yet. JPG works almost everywhere.

    Which browsers can convert AVIF?

Current versions of Chrome, Edge, Firefox and Safari 16.4 or newer.

    What happens to transparency?

JPG cannot store transparency, so those areas are filled with white or black, as you choose.

    Is it free?

Yes. Free to use, with no sign-up, no watermark and no daily limits.
