Each format has a job. Picking the right one keeps your files small and your pictures looking good.
| Format | Best for | Good to know |
|---|---|---|
| JPG | Photos you share, email or upload | Opens everywhere. Small files. No transparency. |
| PNG | Screenshots, logos, images with text | Lossless and supports transparency, but photos become large. |
| WebP | Images on websites | Smaller than JPG and PNG, but some older apps cannot open it. |
| HEIC | Storing photos on iPhone | Very small files, but many apps and PCs cannot open it. |
Not sure? For photos you want to share, use JPG. To make big photos smaller, use Compress image or Resize image.
Questions
Are my photos uploaded?
No. Every image tool runs inside your browser. Your photos are opened and changed on your own device and are never sent to a server.
Which image formats can I use?
HEIC and HEIF from iPhones, JPG, PNG and WebP. Each tool page lists exactly what it accepts.
Can I convert many photos at once?
Yes. Most image tools take up to 50 files at a time, and you can download them all as one ZIP file.
Do the tools remove location data?
Yes. When an image is converted, compressed or resized, the new file is saved without the GPS position and other hidden photo details. That is useful before sharing.
Do I need to install anything?
No. The tools work in a modern browser on Windows, Mac, Linux, Android and iPhone.
