How to crop a photo exactly
Drag inside the box to move it and drag the round handles to change its size. The numbers under the picture show the exact position and size in pixels, and you can type them too.
With a keyboard, select the box with Tab, move it with the arrow keys (hold Shift to move faster) and change its size with Alt and the arrow keys.
Shapes for social media and print
Choose Square for profile pictures, 4:5 for social media posts, 9:16 for stories and 16:9 for videos and slides. 3:2 is the shape of most camera photos and common print sizes such as 6 × 4 inches.
Circle cuts a round picture for avatars and logos. The corners are see-through, so the result is saved as PNG unless you choose another format.
Many images at once
Add up to 50 images. Choose one in the list to set its crop; the others keep their own. Use "Same crop for all" when the photos have the same layout, such as screenshots.
Questions
Are my photos uploaded?
No. The image opens in your browser and is cropped on your device. Nothing is sent to us or anyone else.
Does cropping lower the quality?
The kept part has the same pixels as before. JPG and WebP are saved again at the quality you choose (92% by default), which looks the same to the eye. Choose PNG for no loss at all.
Is the photo location removed?
Yes. The cropped picture is a new file, so location and camera details are not copied into it.
Can I crop to an exact pixel size?
Yes. Type the width and height in pixels under the picture. To make it a fixed size after cropping, use Resize image.
