Save files with a -clean suffix; their compressed picture data is unchanged.
What photos reveal
Most phone photos carry hidden data: the exact GPS position where the photo was taken, the date and time, the phone model and sometimes its serial number. If you post such a photo online or send it to a stranger, that information goes with it.
Some social networks remove this data, but many apps, email and file-sharing services do not.
No quality loss
This tool does not re-save your picture. It cuts the metadata sections out of the file and keeps the image data exactly as it was, so there is no quality loss at all. The result row tells you what was removed, for example "GPS location, EXIF".
Want to see the data first? Use the EXIF metadata viewer.
Questions
Are my files uploaded?
No. The tool runs inside your browser, so your photos are opened and processed on your own device. They are never sent to us or to anyone else.
What is removed?
EXIF (camera, dates, settings), GPS location, XMP and IPTC data, and comments. Colour profiles are kept so colours look the same.
Does the photo lose quality?
No. The image data is copied exactly; only the metadata sections are removed.
Will my photo be rotated wrongly?
Removing EXIF also removes the rotation note. If a photo shows sideways afterwards, use Rotate & flip image.
Can I check what a photo contains?
Yes, use the EXIF metadata viewer to see all hidden details first.
