    How it works

    1. Paste both versions

Paste the original on the left and the changed text on the right, or open two files.

    2. See every change

Added text is green and removed text is red and crossed out. Compare by lines, words or single letters.

    3. Save the differences

Copy the result, or download a standard .diff file that code tools can read.

Find what changed between two texts

Use it for contracts, essays, translations, configuration files or code. Lines compares line by line and also marks the changed words inside a line. Words is best for normal writing, and Letters finds single typing mistakes.

Turn on "Ignore extra spaces" when only the layout changed, and "Ignore UPPER and lower case" when capital letters do not matter.

    Safe for private documents

Both texts stay in your browser. Nothing is uploaded, so you can compare contracts, personal letters and internal files safely. The texts are gone when you close the page.

    Questions

    Is my text uploaded?

No. The comparison runs inside your browser. Neither text leaves your device.

How large can the texts be?

up to 500 MB each. Very long texts with many changes may take a few seconds.
