How it works
Open the PDF

Save the edited copy
Download a PDF with an -edited suffix and your updated document information.
What PDF metadata is
Every PDF can carry hidden details: a title, the author's name, a subject, keywords, the app that made it and the dates it was created and changed. PDF readers show the title in the window bar, and search engines and document systems use these details too.
These details often include things you did not mean to share, such as your name, your company's computer name or an old title from a template.
Clean a PDF before you share it
Turn on Remove all details to empty every field and remove the hidden XMP copy of the details that many apps add. The pages, text and images stay exactly the same.
To give a document a clear title that shows in browsers and PDF readers, fill in Title and leave the rest as they are.
Questions
Is my PDF uploaded?
No. The details are read and changed inside your browser. Your PDF never leaves your device.
Does it change the pages?
No. Only the hidden details change. Text, images and layout stay exactly the same.
Can I change many PDFs at once?
Yes. Add up to 10 PDFs, choose each one in the list to edit it, or use "Same details for all" to copy the author and other fields to every file.
Why does my PDF reader still show an old title?
Some readers remember files they opened before. Close the file and open the new copy again.
