QR codes that never expire
Many QR code websites make "dynamic" codes that point to their own server first. They can track every scan, and the code stops working when the subscription ends. The codes made here contain your link or text directly, so they work forever and nobody can track who scans them.
Test the code with your phone camera before you print it.
Get a code that scans well
Keep a strong contrast: a dark code on a light background works best, and some phones cannot read light codes on dark backgrounds. Keep the quiet border of about 4 modules around the code.
Short text makes a simpler code that is easier to scan. Choose a higher error correction for printed codes that may get dirty or scratched.
Wi-Fi, phone and email codes
For Wi-Fi, type WIFI:T:WPA;S:network-name;P:password;; and phones offer to join the network. For a phone number type tel:+94771234567, for email mailto:name@example.com, and for a text message SMSTO:+94771234567:Hello.

Is my text uploaded?
No. The QR code is drawn inside your browser. Your links, Wi-Fi passwords and text never leave your device.
Do the codes expire?
Never. The content is inside the code itself, not on a server.
How much text fits?
Up to about 2,900 characters with Low error correction. Shorter text gives a code that scans more easily.
Can I use the codes commercially?
