    How it works

    1. Open your ZIP

Choose a ZIP archive to read the files stored inside it.

    2. Extract and inspect files

Run extraction to see each file name and size in the expanded result list.

    3. Save the extracted files

Download individual files, save them to a folder in supported browsers, or download an -extracted ZIP.

    Open ZIPs anywhere

Got a ZIP on a phone, a tablet or a borrowed computer without an unzip app? This tool opens it in the browser and lists every file inside, with its size. Download the files you need one by one.

Files from folders inside the ZIP get the folder name in their file name, like photos-2024-beach.jpg, so nothing gets mixed up.

    Safe and private

Opening an archive from someone else? The files are only unpacked in your browser's memory and saved when you click Download. Nothing is uploaded or run. Extraction is limited to 2,000 entries and 500 MB of expanded files; unusually high compression ratios are rejected to protect your device. Password-protected ZIPs and ZIP64 archives are not supported yet.

    Questions

    Are my files uploaded?

No. The tool runs inside your browser, so your archives are opened and processed on your own device. They are never sent to us or to anyone else.

    Can it open password-protected ZIPs?

Not yet. You will see a clear message if an archive is protected.

Does it support RAR or 7z?

    No, only ZIP for now.

Is it safe to open ZIPs from strangers?

Unpacking here does not run anything. Still, be careful opening the files themselves, especially programs and documents with macros.
