    Settings

No settings needed. The tool rebuilds the file's structure.

    Nothing is uploaded

    How it works

    1. Add the damaged PDF

A file that shows errors or does not open.

    2. Repair

The structure of the file is rebuilt.

    3. Download

      Try the repaired copy.

    What can be repaired

Many PDFs fail to open because their index (cross-reference table) is broken, for example after an interrupted download or email. This tool reads every part of the file without trusting that index, rebuilds it, and writes a clean copy.

If parts of the file are missing, those parts cannot be brought back, but the rest is often saved.

    Private

Your file is processed inside your browser with pdf-lib and qpdf, open-source PDF libraries. It is never uploaded, and nothing is saved after you close the page.

    Questions

    Are my files uploaded?

No. The tool runs inside your browser, so your files are opened and changed on your own device. They are never sent to us or to anyone else.

    Can every PDF be repaired?

No. If the file is mostly missing or is not really a PDF, it cannot be fixed. Most structure errors can.

    Is it free?

Yes. Free to use, with no sign-up, no watermark and no daily limits.
