What is removed
JavaScript, actions that run when the file or a page opens, launch actions that start programs, form submit actions, XFA forms and media. Optionally attached files, metadata and web links.
The visible pages are not changed. This makes a PDF safer, but it is not a virus scanner.
Private
Your file is processed inside your browser with the open-source pdf-lib library. It is never uploaded, and nothing is saved after you close the page.

Are my files uploaded?
No. The tool runs inside your browser, so your files are opened and changed on your own device. They are never sent to us or to anyone else.
Is it a virus scanner?
No. It removes the PDF features most often misused, but it does not scan for viruses.
