How it works
Add your images
Choose BMP images for bmp-to-jpg on your device.
Set the quality
Move the quality slider to balance sharpness and file size, then check the preview.
Convert and download
Save your JPG results individually or download the converted images together as a ZIP.
Why convert BMP to JPG?
BMP photos can be tens of megabytes, while a JPG of the same photo is often under one megabyte. Converting BMP to JPG with a quality setting lets you trade a little detail for a huge saving in space.
JPG compression is lossy, so fine detail softens each time you re-save. Keep the BMP or a PNG copy if you plan to edit the picture again later.
Convert privately on your device
Add your BMP images, set the quality, press Convert to JPG, and download the finished files. All decoding and encoding takes place on your own device; no copy of your pictures is ever transmitted.
Convert up to 10 BMP files at once (100 MB each, even large uncompressed bitmaps) and download each JPG separately or grab them all as one ZIP. The live preview turns your BMP into JPG on screen before anything is saved, so you can confirm the quality setting looks right.
Good to know before you convert BMP to JPG
Start at 90% quality and compare the size — most photos look unchanged down to 80%. This tool fills the background with white as it converts.
Each file keeps its original name with a jpg ending, so JPG results stay easy to match with their BMP originals. Keep the original BMP files until you have checked the JPG results — reconverting with different settings is free and private.
Questions
Are my files uploaded?
No. The tool runs inside your browser, so your files are opened and converted on your own device. They are never sent to us or to anyone else.
Does each BMP give one JPG?
Yes. Every BMP input produces exactly one JPG with the same dimensions, filled on a white background.
Which quality should I pick?
For photos, 80–90% looks the same as the original to most people and makes a much smaller file. Use a higher value for images with fine text.
Is it free?
Yes. Free to use, with no sign-up, no watermark and no daily limits.
