Placeholder text for designs and drafts
Lorem ipsum is the classic filler text designers use to show what a page will look like before the real words exist. It has the rhythm of natural language, so headings, columns and spacing can be judged fairly without readable content pulling the eye. Use it for website mockups, app screens, brochures, slides and any layout where the structure matters more than the message.
Because the built-in word bank holds more than sixty Latin-style words, every generation reads a little differently while keeping the familiar lorem ipsum feel. The words you type in the box only seed the random picker, so the same seed always gives the same paragraphs, which is handy when you want to recreate a layout exactly.
Paragraphs, length and the classic start
Choose between one and twenty paragraphs, and pick short sentences for a light texture, medium for a typical body-copy feel, or long for dense, academic-looking blocks. Short paragraphs use two to four sentences each, medium three to five, and long four to seven, with word counts scaled to match the style you picked.
Leave the “Start with Lorem ipsum” switch on for the traditional opening that clients recognise at once, or turn it off when you want neutral filler without the famous first words. Each sentence starts with a capital and ends with a full stop, and paragraphs are separated by a blank line so they paste cleanly into design tools and documents.
Private by design
Many placeholder generators are simple, but pasting draft copy into a random website still sends your ideas to a server you do not control. This generator builds every paragraph inside your own browser from its built-in word bank, so neither your seed text nor the result ever travels across the network or sits on someone else's computer.

Is my text uploaded anywhere?
No. Generation happens inside your browser. Neither your seed text nor the result leaves your device.
Why does the same seed give the same text?
The seed starts the random picker at a fixed point, so typing the same seed recreates the same paragraphs. Type something different for fresh filler.
Can I use the generated text in commercial work?
Yes. Lorem ipsum is traditional placeholder text with no copyright worries. Replace it with real copy before publishing.
Is it free?
