    How it works

    1. Add your images

Choose ICO images for ico-to-webp on your device.

    2. Set the quality

Move the quality slider to balance sharpness and file size, then check the preview.

    3. Convert and download

Save your WEBP results individually or download the converted images together as a ZIP.

    Why convert ICO to WEBP?

WebP stills of icon artwork are even smaller than PNG, handy for documenting large icon sets online. Every embedded size converts to its own lightweight WebP image.

The extracted pictures remain small — icons are rarely bigger than 256 pixels. Check that the app where you will use them supports WebP first.

    Convert privately on your device

Add your ICO images, set the quality, press Convert to WEBP, and download the finished files. All icon sizes are rendered and saved by your browser itself, keeping proprietary artwork on your device.

Convert up to 10 ICO files at once (100 MB each, every embedded size converts, largest first) and download each WEBP separately or grab them all as one ZIP. The live preview turns your ICO into WEBP on screen before anything is saved, so you can confirm quality and transparency.

Good to know before you convert ICO to WEBP

Quality 90% keeps tiny icon details crisp. Since icons are already small, the savings versus PNG are modest but real across a whole set.

Each icon keeps its file name, with numbered endings such as -1 and -2 for its embedded sizes, so WEBP files stay matched to their source. Keep the original ICO files until you have checked the WEBP results — reconverting with different settings is free and private.

    Questions

    Are my files uploaded?

No. The tool runs inside your browser, so your files are opened and converted on your own device. They are never sent to us or to anyone else.

Which icon images do I get?

All of them. Every embedded size in the icon becomes its own WebP still, so the complete set is preserved.

    Which quality should I choose?

Use 90% for icon artwork so tiny details stay crisp. Icons are already small, so higher quality costs almost nothing.

    Is it free?

Yes. Free to use, with no sign-up, no watermark and no daily limits.
