    How it works

    1. Add your images

Choose JPG, PNG, WebP, GIF, BMP, AVIF or HEIC images to cut a fragment from on your device.

    2. Check the conversion options

Type the left, top, width and height percentages, then inspect the result preview.

    3. Convert and download

Save your IMG results individually or download the converted images together as a ZIP.

    Numeric crops for precise work

Fragment cutting trades the mouse for the keyboard: you type the exact rectangle you want as percentages of the image width and height, and the tool extracts precisely that region. Left and top place the fragment's corner, while width and height set its extent, so ten, ten, eighty, eighty keeps the central bulk with a ten percent margin shaved from every side. Because numbers describe the cut, the same values reproduce the identical fragment on any image with matching proportions.

That repeatability is gold for automation and documentation. Test scripts can crop the same dashboard region from every screenshot build after build, researchers can excise matching chart areas from a series of figures, and archivists can strip identical scanner margins from a whole folder of pages.

Validation keeps cuts inside the frame

The tool checks your numbers before cutting: width and height must each reach at least one percent, and the rectangle must sit fully inside the picture, so left plus width and top plus height may never pass one hundred. A clear message explains any mistake instead of silently producing a broken or empty file, which saves debugging time when values come from a spreadsheet or a script.

Percentages scale to any resolution, so one recipe works on thumbnails and originals alike. Oversized images are first fitted within 4096 pixels, and the fragment keeps the full sharpness of its pixels through to the final encoded download.

    Exact numbers, zero exposure

Even though fragment recipes are precise enough for laboratory use, your pictures themselves are handled with deliberate imprecision about leaving the building: they never do. All parsing, validation and cutting runs in your browser on files that stay on your disk, so sensitive screenshots and evidentiary photos remain strictly in your custody.

Working locally removes accounts, queues and watermarks from the process entirely. Downloaded fragments are newly encoded images that do not inherit hidden GPS or camera metadata from their source files.

    Questions

Is my image sent anywhere to be cut?

No. The fragment is cut inside your browser, so your image never leaves your device.

    What values are allowed?

Left, top, width and height are percentages from 0 to 100. Width and height need at least 1%, and the rectangle must fit inside the picture.

How is this different from Slice image?

Slice cuts preset squares from nine anchors. Fragment cuts any rectangle you describe with manual percentages.

    Is it free?

Yes. Free to use, with no sign-up, no watermark and no daily limits.
