    How it works

    1. Add your images

Choose TIFF images for tiff-to-bmp on your device.

    2. Nothing to set up

There are no settings — check the preview, then convert.

    3. Convert and download

Save your BMP results individually or download the converted images together as a ZIP.

    Why convert TIFF to BMP?

Some legacy imaging tools and document pipelines expect plain BMP pages. Converting TIFF scans to BMP gives you uncompressed pages those systems read without extra software.

BMP pages are large, since nothing is compressed, and each TIFF page becomes its own BMP file. Keep the TIFF for storage and convert only what the target system needs.

    Convert privately on your device

Add your TIFF images, press Convert to BMP, and download the finished files. Your scans stay exactly where they are: the browser reads them from disk and writes the results back locally.

Convert up to 10 TIFF files at once (100 MB each, multi-page scans included — every page becomes its own file) and download each BMP separately or grab them all as one ZIP. The live preview turns your TIFF into BMP on screen before anything is saved, so you can confirm the bitmap looks right.

Good to know before you convert TIFF to BMP

Pages render at 150 DPI with pixels identical to the scan. If the receiving program accepts PNG, prefer that — the files are far smaller.

Each scan keeps its file name, with numbered endings such as -1 and -2 for its pages, so BMP results stay matched to their source. Keep the original TIFF files until you have checked the BMP results — reconverting with different settings is free and private.

    Questions

    Are my files uploaded?

No. The tool runs inside your browser, so your files are opened and converted on your own device. They are never sent to us or to anyone else.

    What happens with multi-page TIFFs?

Each page becomes its own BMP file, numbered in order, so multi-page scans turn into matching sets of bitmaps.

Why are BMP files so large?

BMP stores every pixel uncompressed, unlike TIFF which compresses them. The picture is identical; only the file is bigger.

    Is it free?

Yes. Free to use, with no sign-up, no watermark and no daily limits.
