Why convert JPG to BMP?
Some desktop software, scanners and legacy tools insist on BMP input. Converting JPG photos to BMP gives you uncompressed bitmaps those programs accept without complaint.
Converting cannot restore detail the JPG compression already removed, and the BMP will be much larger. The picture looks exactly like your JPG — just stored less efficiently.
Convert privately on your device
Add your JPG images, press Convert to BMP, and download the finished files. Since the tool lives in the page itself, your photos remain on your device throughout the conversion.
Convert up to 10 JPG files at once (100 MB each, straight from your camera roll or downloads) and download each BMP separately or grab them all as one ZIP. The live preview turns your JPG into BMP on screen before anything is saved, so you can confirm the bitmap looks right.
Good to know before you convert JPG to BMP
Only convert the files the target program needs. For viewing, sharing or backup, the JPG remains the better format in every way.
Each file keeps its original name with a bmp ending, so BMP results stay easy to match with their JPG originals. Keep the original JPG files until you have checked the BMP results — reconverting with different settings is free and private.
Questions
Are my files uploaded?
No. The tool runs inside your browser, so your files are opened and converted on your own device. They are never sent to us or to anyone else.
Does each JPG give one BMP?
Yes. Every JPG input produces exactly one BMP with the same width and height, holding the same picture.
Will BMP improve my photo quality?
No. The BMP looks exactly like the JPG it came from. JPG compression already discarded some detail, and no converter can bring it back.
Is it free?
Yes. Free to use, with no sign-up, no watermark and no daily limits.
