    How it works

    1. Add your images

Choose JPG, PNG, WebP, GIF, BMP, AVIF or HEIC images to pad on your device.

    2. Check the conversion options

Adjust padding size and colour, then inspect the result preview.

    3. Convert and download

Save your IMG results individually or download the converted images together as a ZIP.

    Breathing room on every side

Padding grows the canvas evenly by up to five hundred pixels on each side, floating your photo on a clean field of the colour you choose. White padding mimics gallery matting for prints, black padding builds cinematic letterbox elegance for video stills, and brand colours turn product shots into on-palette social cards without touching the artwork itself.

Zero padding is a valid choice that simply re-encodes the image, handy for converting formats in the same pass. Every other value adds exactly the same margin top, right, bottom and left, so layouts and frames built on the output dimensions stay perfectly symmetrical.

    Fitting squares and feeds

Social networks crop previews into squares and circles, often decapitating tall photos; padding a portrait into a square first guarantees the whole subject survives the platform crop. Printers likewise ask for quiet margins around full-bleed artwork, and even padding supplies exactly that without rescaling the art.

Oversized originals are scaled to fit within 4096 pixels before padding, and the result row says so. Final dimensions equal the photo plus twice the padding per side, predictable to the pixel for templates and CSS.

    Margins added in private

Padding is computed by your browser from files already on your disk, so your photographs never take a detour through an upload server for such a simple enlargement. Personal albums, client proofs and unreleased artwork all remain exactly where they belong throughout the process.

Local work brings instant results with no account, no queue and no watermark in the margin. Padded downloads are newly encoded images that leave hidden location metadata behind in the originals.

    Questions

Is anything uploaded when I pad images?

No. Padding is added inside your browser, so your images never leave your device.

    Does padding shrink my photo?

No. The photo keeps every pixel and the canvas grows around it by the padding on each side.

    What does zero padding do?

Nothing to the size. The image is simply re-encoded in your chosen format and quality.

    Is it free?

Yes. Free to use, with no sign-up, no watermark and no daily limits.
