No settings needed. Each GIF frame is decoded and saved as its own PNG still.

    How it works

    1. Add your GIFs

Choose animated GIF files to break into still images.

    2. Extract the frames

Each frame is composited in order and turned into its own full-size PNG still.

    3. Download the stills

Save single frames on their own or download all frames together as a ZIP.

    From animation to stills

Animated GIFs store a stack of frames with transparency handling between them. This tool rebuilds each frame as it would appear on screen, then saves every one as a lossless PNG with a frame number in its name.

File names keep order with zero-padded numbers, so frame-01 comes before frame-10 in any folder. Large GIFs give many stills ready for storyboards, thumbnails or sprite checks.

    How extraction works

Add up to ten GIFs and each is decoded frame by frame at its original size. Transparency is composited over earlier frames, so moving stickers keep their trails correctly in each still.

Frames are decoded on your computer, avoiding any remote handling. Only the PNGs you choose to save are written out from local memory.

    Use the extracted stills

Pick the sharpest frame for a cover image, compare poses across frames for animation study, or feed stills into editors that cannot open GIFs. Because PNG is lossless, text and edges stay crisp.

Timing is not kept: stills are separate pictures for viewing and editing, not a re-timed animation. For stepping through frames as a player see GIF player with its frame-by-frame gallery.

    Questions

    Are my GIFs uploaded?

No. Your GIFs are decoded and saved inside your browser. They never leave your device.

    Are frame timings kept?

No. Stills are separate PNGs for inspection and editing. Delay values are not saved because PNG has no animation timing.

How many frames will I get?

One PNG per GIF frame at full size. Short stickers give a handful, long clips can give dozens.

    Is it free?

Yes. Free to use, with no sign-up, no watermark and no daily limits.
