Why convert BMP to TIFF?
BMP and TIFF are both lossless, but only TIFF carries the DPI metadata and professional acceptance that print shops expect. Converting BMP to TIFF produces 150 DPI archive-ready files.
The picture does not change at all — the same pixels are simply stored in the more professional container. Files stay large, as both formats are heavy.
Convert privately on your device
Add your BMP images, press Convert to TIFF, and download the finished files. Large bitmaps never cross the network: they are read and rewritten by scripts running on your own hardware.
Convert up to 10 BMP files at once (100 MB each, even large uncompressed bitmaps) and download each TIFF separately or grab them all as one ZIP. The live preview turns your BMP into TIFF on screen before anything is saved, so you can confirm every page rendered.
Good to know before you convert BMP to TIFF
If the recipient accepts PNG, send that instead: identical quality at a much smaller size. Use TIFF only where the workflow demands it.
Each file keeps its original name with a tif ending, so TIFF results stay easy to match with their BMP originals. Keep the original BMP files until you have checked the TIFF results — reconverting with different settings is free and private.
Questions
Are my files uploaded?
No. The tool runs inside your browser, so your files are opened and converted on your own device. They are never sent to us or to anyone else.
Does each BMP give one TIFF?
Yes. Every BMP input produces exactly one TIFF file at 150 DPI with identical pixels.
Is anything lost converting BMP to TIFF?
Nothing. Both formats are lossless, so every pixel arrives unchanged — only the container and its 150 DPI metadata are new.
Is it free?
Yes. Free to use, with no sign-up, no watermark and no daily limits.
