    How it works

    1. Add your images

Choose JPG, PNG, WebP, GIF, BMP, AVIF or HEIC images to trim on your device.

    2. Check the conversion options

Set how many pixels to shave per edge, then inspect the result preview.

    3. Convert and download

Save your IMG results individually or download the converted images together as a ZIP.

An exact shave on all four sides

Unpadding removes the same pixel margin from the top, right, bottom and left in one operation, from a single pixel up to five hundred per edge. It is the precision inverse of padding: where padding grows the canvas, unpadding shrinks it symmetrically with no dragging, no guessing and no lopsided leftovers. Scanner glass edges, screenshot window chrome and unwanted watermarks burned into margins all disappear evenly.

If the requested margin would consume the whole picture, the tool stops with a clear message naming the problem instead of producing an empty file. That guard makes batch trimming safe: one setting can sweep a mixed folder knowing undersized images will be flagged rather than destroyed.

Even trims for batches and sprites

Digitisation pipelines shave identical scanner margins from thousands of pages, and export pipelines trim fixed chrome from automated screenshots. Game artists cut uniform atlas gutters, and photographers remove the soft vignette ring that some lenses paint around every frame.

Photos larger than 4096 pixels are scaled down before trimming, and the result row notes it. Remaining pixels are untouched originals, re-encoded only at the final save in your chosen format.

Trimmed in the tab, kept at home

Trimming runs as local code on files residing on your machine, so the images you shave never travel to a processing backend. That is exactly the guarantee sensitive material needs: contracts, medical scans and family photos stay within your walls while still getting a pixel-exact haircut.

Because nothing leaves, there is no upload delay, no account linking files to you, and no watermark etched into the trimmed edge. Outputs are fresh encodings without the originals' hidden location information.

    Questions

    Do trimmed images get uploaded?

No. Trimming happens inside your browser, so your images never leave your device.

What if the margin is bigger than the image?

You get a clear error and the file is skipped. The margin must be smaller than half the width and half the height.

How is this different from Remove image border?

Unpad shaves an exact pixel count you choose. Remove border auto-detects solid-colour edges instead.

    Is it free?

Yes. Free to use, with no sign-up, no watermark and no daily limits.
