A scratchpad for quick notes and drafts
Use this notepad for shopping lists, phone-call notes, meeting minutes, draft paragraphs or any text you need for a few minutes. Type directly, paste from anywhere, or open a TXT or Markdown file to edit it. A live summary under the box shows word, character and line counts as you type, which is handy for length-limited forms and posts.
Because there are no settings and no formatting, the page stays fast even with long text. Line breaks, spaces and Unicode characters including emoji are preserved exactly. Copy puts the current text on your clipboard and Download saves it as a UTF-8 TXT file you can open anywhere.
Session-only: no autosave, download to keep
This notepad deliberately does not save. Your text lives only in this browser tab's memory and disappears when you close or reload the page. There is no autosave to disk, no local storage, no account and no recovery. That makes it ideal for one-off text you do not want lingering on a shared computer.
If your notes matter, download them before you leave. Keep the downloaded TXT file where you normally keep documents, or paste the text into your notes app. If the browser crashes or the tab closes before you save, the text cannot be restored, so download early for anything important.
Private by design: notes without uploading
This online notepad runs entirely in your browser. Your words are counted and shown on your own device with a small local script. Nothing is uploaded, nothing is stored on any server, and it works offline after the first visit. Anyone can verify this by disconnecting from the internet and continuing to type.
That makes it safe for passwords, personal thoughts and confidential snippets you are reformatting, provided you remember the session-only rule. There is no sign-up, no watermark and no daily limit, and you can open text files up to 500 MB. Close the tab when finished to clear the memory.
