    How it works

    1. Add colourful photos

Drop in product shots or blooms where one hue should star.

    2. Sample the hero colour

Pick the tone to keep, tune tolerance for shading, feather edges.

    3. Download isolated PNGs

Preview the keep-mask, then save cutouts floating on transparency.

Inverse keying that keeps the hero

Most keyers delete a colour, but product spotlights need the opposite: preserve a hero hue — a red dress, a yellow drill, an orange bloom — while everything else dissolves to transparency. This extractor measures each pixel against your sampled tone and retains only neighbours within tolerance, fading outsiders away. The effect spotlights merchandise in catalogues, isolates specimens for textbooks and builds colour-pop art where a single vivid object burns through an otherwise restrained scene with gallery intent.

Sampling precision decides success because hero objects shade from highlight to shadow across many RGB values. Click a mid-tone core rather than a blown highlight, then expand tolerance until folds and wrinkles fill solid without recruiting background clutter that shares warm or cool casts. Feathering softens the keep boundary into partial alpha, so fur, petals and brushed metal rim naturally instead of clipping to jagged poster edges that betray automated masking at large print sizes.

Nail the keep-mask on tricky hues

Reds and yellows bleed across sensors, magentas shift under tungsten, and greens tangle with foliage behind botanical subjects, so always zoom to one hundred percent when judging tolerance. If grey pavement sneaks into a red-car keep, tighten tolerance and accept minor pinholes inside the hero that you can patch with a soft brush later, rather than widening tolerance until street signs and brickwork reappear. For multi-tone products like wood grain, run two passes from the original with different picks and composite the keeps manually.

Exports are transparent PNGs, letting you float the isolated hero over white, gradients or lifestyle scenes without re-shooting inventory. JPG cannot express the cleared surroundings and would refill them white permanently, so reserve JPG only for final flattened comps. Preserve originals untouched, document the sampled hex for brand consistency, and proof the keep over both light and dark grounds since fringe picked up from the old background hides on one but glares on the other.

Hero hues handled under your own roof

Prototype colours and unreleased packaging deserve seclusion, thus isolation math runs entirely in ephemeral browser memory. Outsourced clipping houses require uploading full-resolution masters to ticket systems where they linger in backups and previews, while this page decodes, distance-tests and encodes without emitting a byte, keeping seasonal palettes, patented shades and client identities confined to workstations you govern under your own confidentiality obligations.

There is no ticket, no fee and no turnaround delay: open Extract object by color when a hero needs the stage, isolate up to ten shots, download the floating PNGs and close the tab. Only the app shell caches for offline work, never your stock. Re-sample from pristine sources whenever lighting or dye lots shift, since each extraction is disposable and endlessly repeatable without degrading masters.

    Questions

Are product photos uploaded for extraction?

No. Isolation runs fully in your browser. No image is sent to any server.

    Is it free?

Yes. Free to use with no sign-up, no watermark and no daily limits.

What if my background shares the hero colour?

Lower tolerance to shrink the keep zone, or reshoot against a contrasting backdrop. Shared hues cannot be separated by colour alone.

Can I keep two colours at once?

Not in one pass. Extract the first hue, then re-run the original for the second and combine the keeps in an editor.
