Paste the page HTML
The HTML is parsed in this browser. Nothing is uploaded.

Find URLs from a sitemap

Used when automatic detection is off. Cross-origin sitemap reading is blocked by the browser.
Or paste sitemap XML / a URL list
Sitemap indexes are expanded recursively, including nested child sitemaps.

Paste the page HTML, open an HTML file, or give a sitemap URL. You can also upload sitemap XML or paste a URL list.

See the overall score, category scores, blockers and prioritised fixes with evidence and a specific recommendation for each issue.
Download the PDF
Generate a branded, selectable-text PDF on your device. The single-page report includes appendices; the site report includes a full URL table.
What the SEO score means
The score is a transparent OnDevice Tools rubric, not a Google ranking factor. It combines crawlability, metadata, content, links, images, structured data, mobile basics, security, internationalisation and performance best practices.
A page that meets every measured check scores 100. Missing or weak checks lower the score. A page that cannot be indexed — for example with a noindex robots tag or a canonical pointing somewhere else — is capped and labelled as a blocking issue.
What the audit covers
The rubric checks crawlability and indexability, title and meta description quality, content depth and headings, keyword placement, internal and external links, image alt text and dimensions, structured data and social cards, mobile basics, HTTPS and trust signals, language and hreflang markup, and performance best practices.
Every check has a weight and a severity. A pass earns full points, a warning earns half, and a failure earns none. Info, not-applicable and not-measured checks are excluded, so a page is not punished for data a static HTML audit cannot see.
Checking a live site and its sitemap
Browsers only allow a page to read files from its own domain. If this checker is hosted on the same domain as the site you are auditing, automatic sitemap detection and batch page fetching work directly.
If this checker is hosted on another domain, browsers block reading that site's robots.txt, sitemap or page HTML. Upload the sitemap XML, paste the XML or a URL list, or open an HTML file instead. A third-party proxy is never used.
What is not measured
A static HTML audit cannot see HTTP status codes, redirects, robots.txt, server headers, Core Web Vitals field data, backlinks, rankings, traffic, broken external links or a site-wide crawl. These are listed as not measured or check manually.
When a page is fetched in same-origin sitemap mode, its HTTP status is recorded. Other server-level checks still require a separate crawler or browser extension.
The PDF report
The PDF is generated locally with the OnDevice Tools palette, logo and typography. The single-page report has a cover, executive summary, category findings, data appendices and methodology. The site report adds a score distribution, site-wide issue summary and a paginated URL table.
Reports are generated in your browser. No page HTML, sitemap or report is uploaded or stored on a server.
Questions
Is my page or sitemap uploaded to a server?
No. The HTML, sitemap URLs and generated PDF stay in your browser. There is no upload endpoint, no database and no third-party processing.
Can I check any website URL?
Browsers block cross-origin reading. If this checker is hosted on the same domain, URL and sitemap checks work. Otherwise paste or upload the HTML and sitemap XML, or paste the URL list.
How are sitemap URLs found?
When automatic detection is enabled, the checker reads robots.txt and tries common sitemap locations. It then expands sitemap indexes recursively, including nested child sitemaps, and can include hreflang alternate URLs.
Can I check thousands of URLs?
The URL picker paginates very large sitemaps. Batch analysis is limited to 1,000 selected URLs per run and works only when page fetching is allowed, to keep the browser responsive.
Is this Google's SEO score?
No. Google does not provide a single SEO score. This is a transparent checklist and weighted rubric that helps you find issues. It is not a ranking guarantee.
Does the PDF use my website branding?
The report uses the OnDevice Tools brand from this website. You can add a prepared-for name, but the logo and palette stay consistent with the site.
