Why convert ICO to TIFF?
Archiving icon artwork as lossless TIFF stills preserves each embedded size in a print- and archive-friendly format at 150 DPI. Useful when icon sets enter a formal asset pipeline.
TIFF cannot add detail — the pictures stay as small as the icon embedded images, typically 16 to 256 pixels. Every size becomes its own TIFF file.
Convert privately on your device
Add your ICO images, press Convert to TIFF, and download the finished files. Your icon sets remain private because every embedded image is processed in your browser’s own memory.
Convert up to 10 ICO files at once (100 MB each, every embedded size converts, largest first) and download each TIFF separately or grab them all as one ZIP. The live preview turns your ICO into TIFF on screen before anything is saved, so you can confirm every page rendered.
Good to know before you convert ICO to TIFF
Keep the original ICO alongside the TIFFs: it remains the practical format for software, while TIFFs serve the archive.
Each icon keeps its file name, with numbered endings such as -1 and -2 for its embedded sizes, so TIFF files stay matched to their source. Keep the original ICO files until you have checked the TIFF results — reconverting with different settings is free and private.
Questions
Are my files uploaded?
No. The tool runs inside your browser, so your files are opened and converted on your own device. They are never sent to us or to anyone else.
Which icon images do I get?
All of them. Every embedded size is archived as its own TIFF at 150 DPI, so the complete set is preserved.
Why are the TIFFs bigger than the icon?
TIFF stores each size losslessly with print metadata at 150 DPI, while the icon packs small images tightly. The pictures themselves are unchanged.
Is it free?
Yes. Free to use, with no sign-up, no watermark and no daily limits.
