How it works
Add your images
Choose up to 10 images — JPG, PNG, WebP, GIF, BMP, AVIF or HEIC — straight from your device.
Tune the effect
Nothing to adjust — colors flip to their opposites automatically.
Download the result
Preview each filtered copy, then save them one by one or all together as a ZIP.
The instant negative
Inverting flips every color to its opposite: blue skies turn orange, green grass turns magenta, and shadows swap with highlights. It is the digital version of a film negative, applied in a single step.
Artists use inversion to check composition, make eerie posters, or create assets for dark mode. Run it twice and you get the exact original back, so experimenting costs nothing.
Tips for striking results
High-contrast photos invert most dramatically, while pale images turn into moody dark ones. Portraits get an X-ray look that works well for flyers and album art.
If you only want part of a photo inverted, process the whole image here and crop afterwards. Save as PNG when every inverted shade matters, or JPG for quick sharing.
Never sent anywhere
Every pixel is flipped on your own device, inside the tab you already have open. No copy of your picture travels over the network at any point during the effect.
You need no login and no permission slips. The page works the same on a laptop, a tablet or a phone, and airplane mode will not stop the inversion from running.
Questions
Are my images uploaded when I use this?
No. Everything runs inside your browser on your own device. Your files are never sent to us or to anyone else.
What happens if I invert a photo twice?
You get the exact original back. Inverting twice restores every pixel, so feel free to experiment without fear.
Does inverting change the file size?
The dimensions stay the same. PNG files can grow or shrink a little because the new pixels compress differently; JPG stays roughly similar.
Is it free?
Yes. Free to use, with no sign-up, no watermark and no daily limits.
