    Settings

0 picks fresh randomness every time; any other number repeats the same image.

Your text never leaves this device

    How it works

    1. Pick a size

Set the width and height in pixels, from 64 up to 4096 on the long side.

    2. Choose a seed

Leave the seed at 0 for a new surprise each time, or enter a number to repeat an image.

    3. Download the PNG

Save the random image and use it as a placeholder, texture or test picture.

    Noise for placeholders and tests

Every pixel of the image is filled with random colour values, which makes it perfect when you need a stand-in picture with a real file size and real dimensions. Use it to test uploads, layouts, galleries and image pipelines without touching your personal photos.

Because the noise has no shapes or gradients, it also compresses poorly on purpose: it behaves like a worst-case photo. That makes it handy for checking loading states, file-size limits and thumbnail rendering in your own projects.

    Seeds: surprise or repeat

With the seed at 0 the generator uses fresh randomness, so each visit produces a picture nobody has ever seen. Change the size and a brand-new field of pixels appears instantly under the settings.

Enter any other number as the seed and the same image is drawn every time, on any device. Share the seed and the size with a colleague and they can recreate your exact test image without sending any files back and forth.

    Drawn locally, stays local

The pixels are produced by a tiny deterministic routine running inside your own browser tab. There is no sample gallery to download from and no generation server involved, so no request carrying your choices ever crosses the network.

That matters when your test setup itself is confidential: unreleased screen sizes, internal project names in screenshots you compare against, or embargoed artwork dimensions. Your experiments remain between you and your device, and the page keeps working offline after the first visit.

    Questions

Is anything uploaded to generate the image?

No. The random pixels are drawn inside your browser. Nothing is uploaded and nothing ever leaves your device.

How do I get the same image twice?

Enter any seed other than 0, for example 42. The same seed with the same width and height always draws the same image.

    What sizes can I make?

Any width and height from 64 to 4096 pixels. The download is a PNG file named random-image.png.

    Is it free?

Yes. Free to use, with no sign-up, no watermark and no daily limits.
