    How it works

    1. Add your images

Choose WEBP images for webp-to-bmp on your device.

    2. Nothing to set up

There are no settings — check the preview, then convert.

    3. Convert and download

Save your BMP results individually or download the converted images together as a ZIP.

    Why convert WEBP to BMP?

Older Windows programs and specialised tools sometimes refuse WebP files. Converting WebP to BMP produces plain uncompressed bitmaps that even decades-old software can open.

BMP files are far larger than the WebP they came from, because nothing is compressed. Transparent areas do not survive, since this BMP stores no transparency.

    Convert privately on your device

Add your WEBP images, press Convert to BMP, and download the finished files. Your images are opened and rewritten locally, so private screenshots never pass through anyone else’s computer.

Convert up to 10 WEBP files at once (100 MB each, transparency included) and download each BMP separately or grab them all as one ZIP. The live preview turns your WEBP into BMP on screen before anything is saved, so you can confirm the bitmap looks right.

Good to know before you convert WEBP to BMP

Convert only what the older program requires and keep the WebP originals — they are smaller and hold the same picture.

Each file keeps its original name with a bmp ending, so BMP results stay easy to match with their WEBP originals. Keep the original WEBP files until you have checked the BMP results — reconverting with different settings is free and private.

    Questions

    Are my files uploaded?

No. The tool runs inside your browser, so your files are opened and converted on your own device. They are never sent to us or to anyone else.

Does each WebP give one BMP?

Yes. Every WebP input produces exactly one BMP with the same width and height, holding the same picture.

Why is the BMP so much bigger?

BMP stores every pixel uncompressed while WebP compresses them, so the file grows a lot. The picture itself is unchanged.

    Is it free?

Yes. Free to use, with no sign-up, no watermark and no daily limits.
