Any two inks you like
Duotone maps shadows to your dark ink and highlights to your light ink, with a smooth gradient between. Brand guidelines, wedding palettes and gig posters all come alive with just two colors.
The defaults pair near-black with paper white for a classic print feel. Swap in navy and gold, forest and cream, or any duo that matches your project.
Choosing inks that work
Strong contrast between the two inks keeps detail readable; two close tones melt into mud. Dark text-like colors for shadows and bright paper-like colors for lights rarely fail.
Preview at the size people will actually see it, since tiny duotones lose nuance. Save as PNG for crisp graphics or JPG for photographic posters.
Inked on your device
Your chosen inks are blended into the photo by local code, not a remote design service. Concept art and unreleased branding stay safely inside your own studio.
The page remembers nothing about your palette or your pictures. Mix, preview and export freely, knowing the combinations never travel beyond your screen.
Questions
Are my images uploaded when I use this?
No. Everything runs inside your browser on your own device. Your files are never sent to us or to anyone else.
Which parts get which color?
Dark pixels take the dark ink and bright pixels take the light ink, with a smooth blend for everything in between. Shadows and highlights decide the mix.
What are the default inks?
Near-black #0B0F0C for shadows and pure white #FFFFFF for highlights, which gives a classic print look you can then customize freely.
Is it free?
Yes. Free to use, with no sign-up, no watermark and no daily limits.
